Genevieve spent her childhood in Richmond, Virginia reading anything she could get her hands on, with a special love for Shakespeare and Tolkien. She got her start as a writer in playwriting, putting on productions of her own one-act plays in high school and college before branching out into novels. She likes writing about sidelined characters in classic stories. When she can tear her attention away from devouring fantasy novels or thinking up fresh emotional torments for her characters, she enjoys crocheting, hiking, and salsa dancing.
