Miriam is delighted to welcome their first signed client of 2026—Kathryn Julian! She was blown away by the staggering, witty, and engrossing authenticity of Julian's writerly voice in her humor-laced horror novel, featuring a professor on a Faustian deal investigating a suspicious student death on his private university campus with the help of an unlikely ally—a priest he's definitely not falling for.
Kathryn is a historian and writer of horror and speculative fiction. Originally from Alabama, Kathryn is a recovering academic and queer Catholic. In the past, she has worked as a barista, subtitled East German films, and taught history as a university professor. She was a Fulbright scholar and holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She now lives happily next to a cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband and two cats.
