We're thrilled to share that our playwright Arlene Hutton has been nominated for "Outstanding Play" at the 2025 Drama Desk Awards. Her play, Blood of the Lamb, ran at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024 and had a run in New York in autumn 2024, to great reviews (such as this one from The Guardian).

Blood of the Lamb is a reaction to the reproductive rights crisis we are experiences, an urgent play about choices, both given and taken away.

A pregnant woman finds herself detained in a Texas airport with an unexpected adversary: a court appointed attorney assigned to represent her baby. This electrifying thriller features two women with opposing beliefs, forced to navigate the bureaucratic chaos of post-Roe America.

The 2025 Drama Desk Awards will take place in New York on the first of June and will be presented by Tituss Burgess and Debra Messing.

And psst, if you're in the UK you can see Arlene's play See Rock City at the Wanstead Theatre until the end of this week! See here for more information.
