I was born in Nigeria and moved to the United Kingdom with my family at a young age. Having been bitten by the martial arts bug in childhood, I’ve studied several disciplines into adulthood. I currently practice Judo. Despite my obsession with fight choreography, I set aside any dreams of becoming a stuntman to study medicine at Royal Free and University College Medical School. I currently practise medicine in north London, where I work as a family physician and an independent doctor in mental health. The numerous untold stories from encounters working in hospitals, homes, police stations, His Majesty’s prison service, the military, age-grade, professional and disability sport, as well as with the street homeless, are some of the source materials for my work. My published debut The Durbar’s Apprentice, an historical fiction love letter to my heritage and my son, was released in May 2022. The novel’s follow-up, The Durbar’s Reckoning, is due for publication on September 7th 2026. Outside of writing and martial arts, I’m an unapologetic film geek and rugby fanatic.
