Ng Yi-Sheng is a queer Singaporean writer, researcher and activist with an ADHD-fuelled fascination with Southeast Asian history and myth. His books include the historical fantasy novel Utama and the short story collection Lion City. His fictions and essays—including the influential “Spicepunk Manifesto”—have appeared in Clarkesworld, Strange Horizons, The Best of World SF and Speculative Insight. He's a two-time winner of the Singapore Literature Prize and has been a finalist for the Seiun Award and the Epigram Books Fiction Prize. He's also a lot older than he looks.
