Davey Jones was born and raised in a small town in West Virginia. To this day, he believes many things about him can be summed up by a faded Polaroid from his first-grade class Halloween party, where he can be seen dressed as the devil, even though he went to a Catholic school. Davey credits the cover art from the first edition of Stephen King’s The Stand for making him want to read “scary stuff,” and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons for teaching him about world-building. When not writing, he’s a visual effects artist and animator, and also a traditional media artist. He currently resides in Sierra Madre, California, with a well-mannered bearded dragon named Rocket, and an old and mostly broken robot named Floyd.
