Davey Jones

Davey Jones was born and raised in a small town in West Virginia. To this day, he believes many things about him can be summed up by a faded Polaroid from his first-grade class Halloween party, where he can be seen dressed as the devil, even though he went to a Catholic school. Davey credits the cover art from the first edition of Stephen King’s The Stand for making him want to read “scary stuff,” and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons for teaching him about world-building. When not writing or wandering around Disneyland,he’s a visual effects artist and animator, as well as a traditional media artist. He currently resides in Sierra Madre, California, with a well-mannered bearded dragon named Rocket, and an old and mostly broken robot named Floyd

When not at Disneyland, Davey turns his experience in traditional media, storytelling, visual effects, and generative AI, into an exploration of the darker side of theme park life through an ongoing social media project called CthulhuLand. While CthulhuLand’s audio and visual components utilize AI and are labeled to reflect this, all of his writing, including his novels, novellas, and short stories, come from his very own squishy brain bits, and are free from any AI. CthulhuLand is not affiliated with the Ki Agency.
